Vicky Pattison hits back on social media after being accused of upstaging her sister on her wedding day
Vicky Pattison has hit back on social media after followers claimed she upstaged her sister on her wedding day.
The former Geordie Shore star was forced to defend herself against social media trolls, after she posted a picture of her as bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding.
The image shows bride, Laura, framed by her two bridesmaids, one of which is Vicky.
‘My ladies for life,’ captioned Vicky. ‘I’m just so lucky to know you both @laurajadamson and @sk_nowles!! Congratulations my darlin Laura- no one deserves this more than you’.
However, the star's Instagram followers were quick to point out the bridesmaid’s positioning was quite off, as she seemed to be blocking the bride.
‘Blocking the bride!’ wrote one, while another commented: ‘Why the hell are u standing in front of the bride. I’d be too embarrassed to post this pic. You look gorgeous but there’s jus some things people shouldn’t do’.

Another simply wrote: ‘Worst bridesmaid ever... why are you in front of the bride?’
As more comments built up, the reality star was then forced to defend herself. She wrote: 'Because that’s where my sister asked me to stand.’
‘Now, what exactly did you gain from that bitchy comment?!’ she ranted. ‘Or were you hoping I’d say that I’m that attention hungry and desperate I couldn’t imagine the thought of my baby sister, the most important person in my life, having the focus on her for one day?! Just get a life.’
The infuriated TV star then added: ‘People like you are the precise reason I don’t post pictures of my friends and more importantly family on my instagram more regularly- as you make something that should be wonderful and happy quite dark and negative.’
However, followers hit back at the 31-year-old for ‘lashing out’, with some even unfollowing her for being ‘too aggressive’.
‘@vickypattison I really think you owe an apology for the lashing out, or learn to ignore if you read it as a negative. You totally encouraged negativity with that lashing out,’ wrote one follower.
‘Wow.. I liked you Vicky, a lot. I follow you for a few years now and I like your posts. But this reaction?? Waaaaay to agressive..,’ wrote another follower. ‘It’s making me question if you actually are the cool and kind person I thought you were.. You lost a few fans over this reaction I think.. Maybe count till ten the next time before you spit something out like that..’
Another commented: ‘Gonna unfollow because @vickypattison needs to control her temper when replying to her fans about a comment that everyone was thinking.’
