Woman’s engagement photo goes viral after she has a genius solution to this common dilemma
One woman had a genius solution to this common engagement dilemma.
Growing up most of us imagined what it would be like to get engaged.
And while we all dreamed of it as being one of the happiest moments of our life, we also envisioned it being a moment of perfection, with no flaws whatsoever, including any chips in our fresh manicures.
Which means that when you’ve been in a committed relationship for a while, every time a dinner date or couples holiday is on the cards you’re swiftly on the phone to your manicurist to make sure you can get the perfect announcement photo for Facebook just in case he pops the question.
But one woman, who was caught off guard when her fiancé surprised her with a proposal, didn’t let her lack of preparation for the big moment ruin her perfect announcement photo.
Rather than waiting to get a manicure done or just posting a bare nails photo, one bride-to-be from Melbourne got her cousin to don her new engagement ring and pose in photo for social media.
The devoted cousin in question uploaded a hilarious side-by-side on Twitter showing the posed image against what was really happening, after she volunteered her own polished hand to use in the photo.

‘My cousin’s boyfriend proposed to her but she didn’t have her nails done’, she wrote.
Twitter user Jenna showed how, while the engagement close-up looked natural and perfect, the reality was that she was awkwardly leaning over the kissing couple to fit her ring-adorned hand in the shot.
‘Diana is a nurse so she never has her nails done,’ explained Jenna. ‘José planned this surprise proposal & couldn’t really get her to do her nails without raising suspicion’
‘José convinced Diana that the celebration was for his parent’s wedding anniversary, before getting on his knees and revealing that it was all really for her!’
That’s a definite Instagram vs. Reality situation!
