Blue's Simon Webbe is engaged to girlfriend Ayshen Kemal

Singer Simon Webbe has announced that he is engaged.

Simon, one of the members of boyband Blue, revealed on Instagram that he'd popped the question to girlfriend Ayshen Khan during a romantic holiday to Jamaica.

He uploaded a picture of the pair, who started dating in October 2015, kissing and toasting the moment happy moment, telling his 39,000 followers: 'Away in Jamaica I had to get on one knee and hope to god she says and she did @ayshenk thank you 😘 #happyvalentines'

Ashen also posted the same sweet snap, saying: 'So this happened on the last night of our holiday ...I said YES!!! 💍'

Simon's bandmates were amongst to congratulate the couple on the news, sharing a video of the proposal which had been obtained by The Sun on their official Facebook page.

'Congratulations to our very own Simon Webbe and his beautiful fiancé Ayshen on their engagement,' the post alongside the short clip read. 'We wish them so much love and happiness and all the best for their future. Duncan, Lee & Antony & the management team.'

Fans were quick to follow suit, with one writing: 'That's wonderful! Congratulations Simon and Ayshen, may you two have many happy, healthy and loved up years to share together'.

'What a wonderful news!!! Congratulations to the both of you!' another agreed.

In the video of the proposal, Simon is seen getting down on one knee whilst his own self-composed love song plays.

The lyrics of the song include the 38-year-old telling Ayshen 'I'm nothing without you' and 'Girl you’re everything I need'.
