Jenna Dewan makes candid confession about divorce from Channing Tatum ‘I was gutted’
Jenna Dewan has opened up about her divorce from Channing Tatum.
The Step Up star and her ex-husband actor Channing Tatum announced their divorce back in April of last year.
The pair, who met while filming dance movie Step Up back in 2006, made a joint statement on Instagram to reveal that they were ending their nine-year marriage.
And now Jenna has opened up about the divorce in her new book, revealing that she ‘was gutted’ about the split.
In excerpts from her new book Gracefully You: How To Live Your Best Life Every Day that were acquired by People magazine, the dancer revealed where things went wrong for the pair.
“People grow and they change and sometimes they don’t grow and change together,” she explained. “So it wasn’t a overnight thing that happened. There was no one event. I think it was just a slow realisation that we wanted different things.”
Opening up about how she felt of the divorce at the time, she continued, “I was just gutted. It was so difficult for me. It was the loss of an idealistic future for myself and my life. What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24, I didn’t know life without Chan.”
