The Hills' Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter split after one year of marriage
Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter have decided to split, one year after saying ‘I do’.
The pair’s sad news was confirmed by their reps, who said in a statement: ‘Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter have decided to amicably separate.
‘They love and respect one another, and know that this is the best decision for their relationship moving forward.’
The news comes not long after the pair celebrated their one-year anniversary in June.
At the time, Kaitlynn wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of them on their special day: ‘Happy 1 year wedding anniversary to my husband!!! I’ll save the mushy stuff for him, but in honor of the occasion, here are some new photos from our rehearsal night at @nihisumba 🌴 pics by @mitchpohl’.
Brody, who's also the son of Kris Jenner's ex-husband Caitlin Jenner, married Kaitlynn last year in Indonesia.
However, despite having all their family and friends at the ceremony, turns out that the pair were actually never legally married.

According to E! News, the duo never obtained an official marriage licence, so they won't need to get a divorce.
While a reason for the split has not been revealed by Brody or Kaitlynn, it's thought the fact that Kim Kardashian's half-brother doesn't want kids could have played a part in the couple's decision.
In the first episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, Brody said: 'While I don't have kids, I'm gonna pretty much do what I wanna do and live for myself, as opposed to live for another human being.
'I think that's why she wants kids, she wants me to change in that way.'
Brody’s split comes nearly a year after his brother, Brandon, announced he was splitting from his wife of six years Leah.
The couple, who got married in May 2012, said in a statement at the time: ‘After celebrating fourteen beautiful years together, we have lovingly come to the decision to end the romantic aspect of our relationship. We are deeply proud of the life we've cultivated together and are truly grateful for the bond of friendship we hold and cherish today. It is stronger than ever.
‘Even though we have chosen to separate as a couple, we still love one another very, very much and remain a major part of each other's lives—as best friends, family and loving parents to our daughter.
‘There has been no lying or cheating or fighting that prompted this change, just an expansion of our individual evolution which has inspired us to support each other in a new way. We are still very much a loving family and are bonded by a deep connection that is rooted in love.’
