'It's time to go public' CBeebies presenter Maddie Moate and fellow BBC star Greg Foot announce they're engaged

'Now feels like the right time to spread the word'

CBeebies presenter Maddie Moate and BBC star Greg Foot have announced they're engaged on social media.

The pair, who are both active YouTubers and TV presenters, revealed their exciting news on Twitter with an adorable post.

Maddie tweeted a picture of the two where she's seen flaunting her unusual engagement - which has a tiny acorn embellished onto it - taken during their holiday in Thailand.

As they revealed they are engaged, the couple also told fans they actually had their special moment a 'few weeks' ago, but decided to wait to share their lovely news with their followers.

Alongside the cute snap, she wrote: '#TBT The time we got ENGAGED! Yep, whilst we were in Thailand @gregfoot popped the question and of course I said YES! ♥

'It's been an incredible few weeks enjoying our engagement as a couple, but now feels like the right time to spread the word! SURPRISE! 💍

Greg also took to social media to announce the happy news, with a similar snap of them on a beach in Thailand.

'WE GOT ENGAGED in Thailand and didn't tell anyone for ages (which was wonderful) and decided it's now time to go public', Greg said on his own post.

Fans were quick to congratulate the pair on their lovely news after their engagement announcement, tweeting to send them their well-wishes.

One wrote: 'Ah congratulations you two, what fantastic news! 🍾🥂💍❤️'.

While a third tweeted: 'congratulations to you both, may you be blessed with a long and happy marriage 💍👰🏼🤵'.

Congratulations to the lovely couple!
