Glee star Lea Michele announces engagement

Lea Michele is officially off the market after accepting a proposal from boyfriend Zandy Reich.

The Glee alum shared her exciting news on Instagram account over the weekend – showing off her HUGE diamond ring.

Simply captioning the snap, ‘Yes’, Lea lets her ring do all the talking as she holds the sparkler up to her face while sporting a huge grin.

‘The couple couldn’t be happier,’ a source close to the couple told People after a spokesperson for Michele confirmed the news.

Zandy, who is the president of clothing company AYR, took the next step in their relationship after he proposed with a four-carat elongated radiant cut ring that he designed himself with Leor Yerushalmi and The Jewelers of Las Vegas.

The couple have been dating for just under a year after first being romantically linked in July 2017 after they were spotted holding hands in New York.

‘They've been friends for a long time, a few years,' a source revealed at the time. 'Things turned romantic recently and they're dating now.'

Lea previously spoke of her love for Zandy, admitting he helps her to stay grounded.

‘When I’m not working, I’m at home with my cat, with my family, with my boyfriend, with the people that I love — and that’s how I reset, and that’s how I centre myself,’ she told People in November 2017.

‘It’s so important to tune out the noise and the unnecessary and just focus on the people that you love because they know you better than anyone.’

She added: ‘I’m very happy and I think that you can tell. I don’t really talk a lot about my personal life, but I’m also the kind of person where I always say, “You will see how happy I am just by looking at my face.” I can’t hide it.’

Lea previously dated personal trainer Matthew Paetz for two years until 2016, and then her former Glee co-star Cory Monteith.

Lea was with Cory for around two years, from 2011 up until his untimely death in 2013 when the star tragically died from ‘mixed drug toxicity, involving intravenous heroin use combined with the ingestion of alcohol’.
