Eddie Murphy engaged to long term partner Paige Butcher
Congratulations are in order!
Eddie Murphy is engaged to his long term partner Paige Butcher.
The news was revealed by a rep for the actor, who confirmed that Eddie has popped the question to the Australian actress.
The couple have been together for six years, since 2012, and already share two-year-old daughter Izzy Oona.
This will be Paige’s first time saying ‘I do’, but the second time for the Dr Dolittle star as he was previously married to Nicole Mitchell Murphy.
The couple, who had five children together, tied the knot in 1993 but eventually got a divorce in 2006.
He said in a statement at the time: ‘The welfare of our children is our main concern and their best interest is our first priority.’
He later married Tracey Edmonds in 2008, but the ceremony was not legally binding and they split just two weeks later.

The news of Eddie’s engagement comes just a few weeks after the actor announced he’s expecting another child.
A rep for the actor told PEOPLE in a statement last month: ‘Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December.’
This will be the Hollywood star’s 10th child, as he already has eight other children from previous relationships, and a daughter with his fiancée Paige.
He has his eldest son, Eric, 29, with Paulette McNeely. He also shares five children – Bella Zahra, 16, Zola Ivy, 18, Shayne Audra, 23, Miles Mitchell, 25, and Bria, 28 – with his ex-wife Nicole.
He also has a 27-year-old son, Christian, with Tamara Hood, and an 11-year old daughter, Angel Iris, with former Spice Girl Mel B.
Back in 2016, Eddie’s daughter Bria posted a picture with seven of her siblings, including then-baby Izzy, alongside her and Paige.
She wrote at the time: ‘Merry Christmas!!! #MurphyFamily’.
