Dad of six Duncan Bannatyne gets engaged to girlfriend of 10 months in VERY romantic setting
And you HAVE to see the ring...
It looks like Dragons' Den star Duncan Bannatyne, 67, has cause for celebration, as he made a romantic proposal to his girlfriend over the weekend.
Duncan's 36-year-old girlfriend Nigora Whitehead, who is 32 years younger than him, said yes to marrying her beau and couldn't wipe the smile from her face following the proposal. The pair started dating around 10 months ago and have reportedly been inseparable since.
Of course, not any old location would do for the entrepreneur and businessman, so he popped the question to Nigora while the couple were enjoying a break in Monaco. Dad-of-six and grandfather-of-two Duncan got down on one knee in a Monte Carlo bar with a ring that is thought to have cost in the region of £40,000 to ask the all-important question.
The ring appears to be similar in design to the Soleste Pear by Tiffany, which is a diamond-encrusted tear drop shape that starts at £11,500 for the smallest size - with Nigora's looking nearly four times bigger.
The proposal was caught on camera, with images of the pair showing them both to be delighted by the exciting moment. Nigora uploaded a sweet collage of her and Duncan during and after the big question, saying, 'Every story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite! @dbannatyne Love you forever ❤️'
The Scottish millionaire, who is thought to be worth around £175 million thanks to his chain of gyms and spas as well as TV appearances, confirmed that he had indeed asked Nigora to be his wife just hours afterwards. He uploaded a picture of the pair to tell fans and followers, 'We are now officially engaged.'
Duncan and Nigora met when he visited the Harley Street Dental Clinic where Nigora was working as a 'coordinator'. It is thought that she had previously worked as a Russian and Uzbek translator too, and has a degree in chemistry.
