Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent has reportedly split from her footballer boyfriend Josh McEachran.
The 23-year-old pair have been in a relationship for four years, but seem to have succumbed to the pressures and strains of living apart.
Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster, is still living in Manchester where filming for the ITV soap takes place, while her ex-Chelsea football club boyfriend Josh has moved to West London.
Although this is not the first time the star and her sportsman partner have split - they broke up for three months in 2014 and again in April 2015 - sources say this time Brooke is 'determined' to stay apart.
Sources told The Sun newspaper; 'The long distance thing works for some people but not for them. Josh has been texting Brooke since the split but she's determined this is now the end.'
Whilst there is still some speculation over the cause of the split, mainly focused on their hectic working schedules, it has been confirmed that the couple will go their separate ways on friendly terms.
'There's no bad blood between them. They've been together since they were teenagers and they've vowed to remain friends.'
Brooke, who will be attending the National Television Awards ceremony at the O2 venue in London this evening, has been spending lots of time with friends and family following the split.
On her Instagram account she has been sharing photos of herself enjoying the single life with her 492k followers.
The celebrity pair first met in May 2011 through mutual friend Reece Brown, brother of Sunderland defender Wes Brown, and formerly a footballer for Manchester United.
But it doesn't seem like reconciliation will be on the cards any time soon as Josh's career move has been officially announced; 'Ex-Chelsea mid-fielder Josh is now firmly based in London following his permanent move to Brentford in the summer.'
Brooke is the cousin of Ellie Leach - fellow Coronation Street actress who has played Faye Windass since January 2011.
