Feeling a little dry down-there? We’ve found just the thing to relieve that uncomfortable sensation in your intimate area
Let’s not beat around the bush (no pun intended!), vaginal dryness is pretty unpleasant and it affects more of us than you might think. Almost up to one in two women over 45 suffers from the condition, as well as younger women before menopause, too. The discomfort not only brings physical effects that are painful, but can also add a very negative impact on our wellbeing and the quality of everyday life – some women experience the uncomfortable symptoms simply from sitting.
For some, vaginal dryness is accompanied with other symptoms, such as itching, burning and tenderness in and around the vagina, which can also make sexual intercourse painful. Maybe you’ve tried some remedies that have failed you, or you’re not sure where to start at all.
Dr. Wolff’s dual-action Vagisan Moisturising Cream provides moisture and soothing lipids to the skin in the vaginal and the external genital area, unlike a gel. It alleviates a feeling of dryness, itching, burning and the pain caused by vaginal dryness – and can also help to reduce pain during sex, too. Developed with extensive research by the Dr. Wolff team of dedicated experts, the smooth, white cream does not contain any hormones, so can be used alongside systemic hormone replacement therapy, or alternatively used with hormone-based vaginal creams or pessaries.
It’s easy to use, and regular application can help to prevent irritation and inflammation in the intimate area and improve wellbeing – making the area feel pleasantly supple and moisturised. It maintains a value of 4.5 through the addition of lactic acid within the cream, which helps to stabilise the natural acidity in the vagina.
You can use the cream inside the vagina, or on the external genital area – whichever you find easiest and more soothing to you. For use inside the vagina, simply fill the applicator with cream to one-half full and apply, preferably before going to bed. You can use it once a day, though it can be used less, depending on the symptoms you’re experiencing – find what works best for you and your body. If using outside, just apply it directly to the area (one finger-tip) several times a day, as you need to.
What’s more Dr. Wolff’s Vagisan cream is double duty. You can even use it as an additional lubricant product to help ease things along during sexual intercourse – a pleasure that should never be painful – just apply it prior to sex. The cream contains no spermicide and doesn’t affect sperm motility, so can be used whilst trying to conceive. And if you’re already pregnant or breastfeeding, it’s also completely safe to use.
Don’t let vaginal dryness bring you down – there’s so much you can do to relieve the discomfort. Alongside Dr. Wolff’s Vagisan Moisturising Cream there is Dr. Wolf’s Vagisan Moisturising Cremolum; a smooth-melting vaginal pessary, which works in much the same way as the cream; exhibiting a lasting soothing effect without the need of applying a cream.
