'I'm shocked' Davina McCall sparks debate after posting bikini selfie on social media
Davina McCall has sparked debate on social media after sharing a bikini selfie on Instagram.
The mum-of-three - who recently announced she was splitting from her husband of 17 years, Matthew Robertson - took to social media to share a picture of herself wearing a bikini, alongside an inspirational message for anyone who wants to get fitter and healthier.
The 50-year-old wrote: 'Hi. It is the beginning of the summer . And this is a 👙 selfie. And it probably won’t be the last . No apologies. Because I cannot quite believe I am posting pictures of myself in bikinis still 😃I get asked all the time how many times I work out a week 💪🏻. 3 times minimum ... 4 ideally.. 45 mins to an hour.
'Can’t run at the mo so I do a mixture strength and cardio ... i have so much to be grateful for... my kids are number one but right behind them at no 2 is how my fitness journey has made me feel . If I’m groggy, sluggish, negative it always sorts me out ... if you are starting ... start slow.. set small goals.. achievable goals.. you will get to where you want to be. I did. And if I did. ( after years of yo-yo dieting and binge exercise) You can. #ownyourgoals #fitness #motivation'.
Many of the TV star's fans were quick to gush about how great the mum looks, congratulating her for sticking to her fitness goals.
One said: 'Well I would like to say. Davina you have always looked amazing. I’m 46 and struggle with my weight. I just wish I had your determination and strength. Well done 😘'.
Another wrote: 'You look phenomenal keep posting these selfies, you must work so hard to maintain this type of conditioning, well done 👍🏼'.

Others defended her against body shaming though, reiterating that she's an 'inspiration' for many.
