'It is completely made up' Cheryl hits BACK at reports that she's trying to 'shift her baby weight'

The star welcomed son Bear back in March

Cheryl has hit back at rumours that she's worried about her post-baby body.

The X Factor judge and mum-of-one, who welcomed son Bear with partner Liam Payne back in March, took to Twitter to set the record straight after reports emerged that she'd taken up a strict diet and exercise regime in order to 'shift her baby weight'.

A source told Closer magazine that Cheryl had hired personal trainer Shane Collins and taken up private boxing lessons at her home, whilst also cutting out sugar and 'weaning herself' off of sweet treats like ice cream.

'Cheryl didn't want to have people staring at her in the gym or at classes, so Shane goes to her house,' the insider told the title. 'Cheryl has been on a sugar-free plan, which has helped her enormously, and has managed to wean herself off the chocolate and ice-cream treats during her pregnancy.'

But when celebrity pal Michelle Visage tweeted the former Girls Aloud star with a supportive message after seeing the story picked up by national newspapers, Cheryl was quick to rubbish the claims.

'why don't we just allow @CherylOfficial to be a new mum and enjoy the time without focusing on her body?' Michelle asked, to which Cheryl responded: '..That coupled with the fact it is completey made up 😂🙈 hope you're well. Big kiss 😘.'

'baby girl, you LIVE your life!' Michelle encouraged. 'i am SO happy for you. everything changes when you bring a life into this crazy world! love you lady'.

Back in May, Liam said to Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw that Cheryl has already reverted back to her pre-pregnancy figure.

'Pregnancy is hard to deal with, it's that first pair of jeans you can't get into and she thinks she's massive but she's lost everything,' he explained at the time.
