With just 3 ingredients, this homemade ice cream offers a fail proof recipe using store cupboard staples. It also only takes 5 mins to prepare, as all you have to do is beat all the ingredients together. Once you’ve mastered this basic vanilla, use your imagination; try swirling through chocolate, fruit, caramel, marshmallows, nuts or coffee. Ingredients
- 400ml double cream
- 200g condensed milk
- 1tsp vanilla extract

Method
- In a large bowl, beat all the ingredients together with an electric whisk to form soft peaks.
- Scrap into freezable containers and freeze until solid. Transfer to the fridge 10 mins before serving.

To turn this into a crowd pleaser semi-freddo, line your tub with clingfilm first, then once the ice cream is solid, up turn onto a serving dish, unwrap clingfilm and decorate with chosen toppings.
