Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 450g fresh or frozen mixed forest fruits e.g. strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blackcurrants
  • 75g caster sugar

Method

  1. Peel, core and dice the apples and put them in a pan with 4 tablespoons of water. Cook for 4 mins, then add the berries and cook for 3 mins.
  2. Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar until dissolved. Taste the fruit and add a little more sugar if it is too sharp (this will depend on how ripe the berries are).
  3. Purée the fruit, sieve to remove the seeds, then cool. Pour into lolly moulds and freeze overnight.
