If you thought edible sparklers were beyond the realms of possibility, then think again. These fun chocolate-dipped sparkler sticks are such an easy, fun recipe to make with kids – they’ll love getting a little bit messy and having fun with oodles of sprinkles and edible glitter. We used sprinkles with stars and gold flecks in them to make our edible sparklers even more celebratory – but you can use any kinds of colours or shapes you like. Edible glitter is available in most supermarkets now too, have a little look in the baking section if you’re struggling. If you want to go all out you can order it online, in any colour you could dream of. Our edible sparkler sticks make the perfect sweet treat for New Year’s Eve or Fireworks’ Night, bringing a little jazz to treat time. These simple chocolate covered breadsticks might seem a little strange but the combo works really well. The sweet chocolate and salty breadstick balance each other out for a really moreish snack, and the sprinkles provide a great crunch too. If you prefer a different kind of chocolate then experiment with whatever you fancy when making these edible sparklers. You could try a mixture of milk, white and dark chocolate dipped sticks so that there’s sure to be something everyone will like. Or, if you’re feeling very creative, you could dip into one chocolate and then drizzle over a little of each other chocolate to make a zigzag pattern under the sprinkles.
