Chocolate mess is really good twists on the classic if you’re a serious chocoholic. Eton Mess is traditionally made with meringue, cream and strawberries, but our twist on the classic is packed with chocolate sponge, chocolate buttons and mini marshmallows – and trust us, it definitely tastes as good as it sounds! This super quick, no-cook dessert is a real crowd-pleaser.

This chocolate mess only takes 10 mins to make, so you won’t have to spend long in the kitchen to whip up this delicious pudding. Because it’s such an easy dessert to make, you can even get the kids to help you out. They’ll love getting hands on in the kitchen and you can teach them basic skills like shipping cream – maybe it’ll inspiring them to become bakers and you’ll seen them on GBBO one day!

We’ve used shop bought meringue nests, which are ideal if you’re in a hurry or just don’t fancy spending long making this dessert. You could always make meringues from scratch though, but bear in mind it will take you a bit longer. This chocolate mess recipe is the ideal pud for a summer BBQ, as it’s light but still sweet enough to please any sweet tooth!
