Sainsbury’s has launched its own baby food range for the first time to cater to the ‘very-developing palate of today’s babies and toddlers’.
The supermarket chain’s new line is called The Little Ones and includes almost 50 products for babies and toddlers with prices starting at just 70p.
Hungry toddlers can choose from dishes such as Katsu chicken curry with rice, BBQ pulled pork with sweetcorn rice, or cauliflower and butternut squash Mac n Cheese.
There's also staples such as pasta bolognese, mild chicken curry and butternut squash risotto.
While younger children can enjoy a selection of single flavour veggie pouches like parsnip and sweet potato and carrot.
Sainsbury’s have also made sure that the savoury meals in their range, aimed at babies aged six months and above, also contain at least one portion of vegetables.
The more expensive ready meals like the Katsu Chicken Curry or Thai Chicken Noodle, aimed at children aged three or more, will set you back £2.50 per pack.

While the stage one fruit and vegetable pouches cost between 70p to £1.00, with the Banana Multigrain Porridge priced at £1.50.
Fiona Wilcock, the registered nutritionist who developed the range with Sainsbury's said: 'While babies have a natural preference for sweet flavours, it's very important that they learn to eat and enjoy savoury foods from the outset when weaning.
'For this reason, there are many more savoury foods in the Little Ones range and we have no biscuits, sweet rice cakes, biscotti or cereal bars for babies under one year.'
Charlotte Judd, Product Developer at Sainsbury's, said: 'The range is ideal for busy families with children such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, offering a great variety of tastes for all ages and a simple and flexible approach to weaning.
'We know how much the Cambridge's enjoy their curry, so we are sure Charlotte and George will enjoy our Chicken Katsu curry'.
The new savoury range, The Little Ones, hits all major Sainsbury's stores and Sainsbury’s online from today.
