Nadiya quit The Big Family Cooking Showdown to launch her own cooking programme
Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain has quit the BBC show The Big Family Cooking Showdown in order to launch her own cooking programme.
The baking whizz has called it quits on the BBC show after just one series.
Nadiya has made the decision to quit so that she can launch her own cookery programme, Nadiya's Family Favourites.
Nadiya co-presented the show, thought to be BBC's replacement for the Bake Off after the hit show moved to Channel 4, alongside Zoe Ball and chefs Rosemary Shrager and Giorgio Locatelli judged the contestant's food. The BBC have confirmed that The Big Family Cooking Showdown will return for a second series but Zoe, Rosemary and Giorgio's return is not guaranteed.

Speaking about the show Nadiya said: 'I’m delighted to be able to share some of my family's favourite recipes that I've put together to suit different times and situations, from Wind Down Weekends to Family Occasions and the comings and goings of a hectic family life.'
