The season may have only just officially switched to autumn but everyone's focus is already firmly set on Christmas.

The festive period is a time of year when you can be unashamedly decadent at every meal of the day, but we can totally get on-board with the idea of starting the indulgence ahead of December...

If over the years you've been struggling to take your breakfast to new heights, Marks & Spencer have developed two perfect solutions.

Say hello to Milk Chocolate & Orange Spread. All the flavours of a Jaffa cake, or you know, those chocolate oranges that you need to give a good whack to unwrap, in spreadable form.

The chocolate spread costs £2.50 for a 200g jar and is perfect when you're looking for a treat topping to put on your toast or as a dip for fruit, marshmallows or pretzel sticks for a dessert.

For those of you out there with a really sweet tooth, you need to get your hands on a jar of Marks and Spencer's second exciting launch - red velvet curd.

M&S

According to the label its got all the flavours of a rich red velvet cake locked inside a 325g jar in spreadable form...

It's designed to be used as a dessert dip or in cakes but we're definitely going to give it a go on our toast or maybe even a crumpet!

The tangy curd helps cut through the intense chocolate and it's on sale for the reasonable price of £2.50 a jar.

Both sweet spreads are available in-store from today but sadly won't be available to buy online, so get down to your nearest M&S.

Don't wait around for Christmas to pick up your first jar, you need to try at least one to test if it tastes as it should, right?
