Asda is selling shimmery pink gin for Valentine’s Day - and it's currently on offer
Valentine’s Day is fast-approaching.
And whether it’s by booking a table out to eat, or stocking up with Valentine’s meal deal supplies for a romantic night-in, couples across the globe are getting themselves ready for the loved-up holiday.
But whatever the dinner plans for the day, it’s always a nice excuse to have a little midweek tipple. Plus a little booze can give a hand in getting you in that romantic mood.
And while the classic choice for a Valentine’s celebration has traditionally been a nice glass of red or a flute full of bubbles, we still don’t think we’re over the Christmas period when it comes to being able to face the grape again (praise Dry January).
Well now one store is giving us another boozy option to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit.
Leading supermarket Asda is selling a glittery pink gin – and it comes in a sweet flavour befitting of the day of romance.

Their shimmering Extra Special Gin Liqueur is made using raspberry and rose to giving a sweet and floral flavour evocative of the day’s typical gift options.
And the dark pink hue will make it look right at home on your Valentine’s Day dinner table.
Shake the bottle to activate the shimmer, mix it with your favourite tonic and top with ice for a sweet and refreshing tipple.
And the best part? It’s unlikely to leave you with a banging hangover the next day, as it’s a liqueur rather than a strong spirit, so only has 20 per cent alcohol volume, as opposed to a typical gin, which would usually contain between 37.5 and 40 per cent alcohol volume.
Asda’s Valentine’s Day meal deal looks amazing and costs just £15
‘We know gin is as popular as ever with our customers, so we’ve been looking at innovative ways to create new products, at great value prices,’ Ed Sowerby, spirits product manager at Asda.
‘This Valentine’s Day, we think we’ve cracked it with this delicious, pink, shimmering gin with added glitter.’
You can get the drink on Asda’s website or in stores across the country and, while it usually comes in at a purse-friendly £12, it’s on Rollback at the moment for only £10.
