Asda is selling a giant mince pie for just £1.50
When it comes to mince pies sometimes one is not enough.
A sweet, warm, spicy mince pie filling encased in a crispy pastry casing, topped with thick Bailey’s cream. What more could you want?
And after all, we only get to stuff our faces with the Christmas staple for one month a year, so we should really make the most of it.
But whether we fill up on flaky puff pastry mince pies, sugary Bakewell mince pies or festive orange and cinnamon mince pies, we will always need more than one.
And if it’s mini mince pies on the menu, there’s no chance we’re sticking to just one.
Thankfully, supermarket giant Asda has stepped in to bring us all the mince pie goodness for this year’s festive season.
They're releasing giant mince pie for Christmas that is almost three times the size of a normal mince pie.

The supersize festive treat weighs a whopping 435g and measures seven inches in diameter and three and a half centimetres deep.
Asda’s giant mince pie recipe uses the same ingredients as their normal sized ones do, with a ‘buttery, crumbly pastry filled with juicy sultanas, raisins, festive peel and cranberries’, so you’ll get the same delicious flavours.
Plus it’s easy on the purse strings, as you can get the dreamy treat for only £1.50!
The everyday supermarket decided to create this giant pie due to demand from sweet-toothed customers.
‘Mince pies are a staple of the festive season, and customers are increasingly looking for new and exciting varieties they can enjoy over the festive season,’ said Asda product developer Ciara Loker.
‘Following feedback that one was never enough, we wanted to create a delicious dessert guests can enjoy, one slice at a time.’
The only drawback? You’ll have to wait a couple of weeks to get your hands on it, as it will be available in stores from 22 November.
We’ll be queuing out the door!
