Eamonn Holmes left at home feeling 'uncared for' and 'abandoned' as Ruth attends NTAs solo

He was 'too poorly to go'

Eamonn Holmes revealed that he was left at home feeling 'uncared for' and 'abandoned', as Ruth went off to the NTAs by herself.

The couple, who are also a professional duo on This Morning, were meant to attend the awards ceremony together, but something derailed their plans.

Taking to Instagram, the presenter revealed in a video that her husband would be staying home this year as he was 'too poorly to go'.

In the clip, Ruth can be seen standing in her in a gorgeous red dress, while Eamonn wears a dressing gown, as she tells him this must be the first time she's attending the NTAs without him by her side.

Alongside the video, Ruth wrote: 'Flying solo at the @officialntas tonight.... @eamonnholmes is too poorly to go 🤒 Missing him already ❤️ #nationaltelevisionawards #ntas'

Eamonn also took to his own Instagram account to tell fans that he wouldn't be attending the ceremony, and sweetly teased his wife for leaving him home 'abandoned' and 'uncared for'.

'One of us is off to The #NTA Showbiz Ceremony and the other is staying at home poorly, uncared for abandoned, coughing endlessly . Can u guess which of us is doing what?', Eamonn wrote under a snap of the two.

A third commented: 'Oh no @ruthlangsford POOR @eamonnholmes he looks so sad not being able to go .... ahh I really feel for him that flu is not nice ! ☹️'

Later in the evening, Ruth posted again to celebrate This Morning winning Best Daytime Programme but she didn't forget to shout out her poorly husband.
