'The postpartum body is never even mentioned' Blogger praised for honest picture of her body after giving birth
'#postpartumreality'
A blogger has been praised by fans after showing the reality of a postpartum body with an honest picture on social media.
Sarah Turner, who writs under the name The Unmumsy Mum took to her Facebook page, followed by over 600,000 people, to share a picture of her postpartum baby body, after welcoming her third child.
Captioning the honest snap, she wrote: 'Looking back through pics of Wilf's birth and these two are hands down my faves, for very different reasons ... Apologies for the second photo if you're eating your breakfast but after initially thinking 💭 I can't share that! 🤔I realised it's less flesh than it would be if I shared my 'bikini body' and represents the postpartum reality so well.'
'I was absolutely euphoric at this point, despite walking like John Wayne and wearing an adult nappy,' she also wrote before adding the hashtag '#postpartumreality'.

Fans of the blogger were quick to praise and thank her for her honesty on social media, with many confessing that it's important to share the reality of postpartum bodies, as it's not often represented in the media.
'Ahh god that pic of you in the nappy brings it back! Haha totally remember that feeling of my first walk to the bathroom after the epidural wore off and my jelly belly swinging 😂 weirdest feeling ever!!! So funny. We all go through it too have a baby so we shouldn't be embarrassed by it!', one said.

A second commented: 'Both pictures are beautiful, I think it's important to show how a post partum body looks like. Congratulations again he's beautiful xx'
Another user said: 'Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful pictures. I was so unprepared for my postpartum body both times. It is not spoken about often enough and so as women we somehow expect that the body will just snap back despite the fact that it's been growing and stretching to accommodate a human! It freaked me out especially the second time when it was more pronounced but I was so proud of what my body had achieved that it really didn't matter! Congratulations and thanks once again x'
A fourth also wrote: 'Pregnancy is glamorised so much and yet the postpartum body is never even mentioned! I remember going to have my first shower in the hospital and thinking "what the hell has happened to my body?!" 😱😱'
