Cyber Monday shopping tips

  1. Don’t dither. Popular toys will go out of stock and sales will end during Cyber Monday so if you spy a Cyber Monday toy deal on something that's on your shopping list, snap it up FAST. You can always return it if you change your mind or find it cheaper elsewhere but once the deal is gone, it's gone.
  2. Write a list and set a budget. It's easy to get carried away during Cyber Monday weekend and end up buying things you didn't plan to. Always remember that a true Cyber Monday toy deal is a price drop on something you were prepared to pay full price for. If you weren't, it's probably not worth buying, no matter how cheap it seems.
  3. Price check before you buy. One of the things I really dislike about Cyber Monday and Cyber Monday is when retailers - mentioning no names -  try to make it look like they've slashed the price on something when, in fact, you'll be able to pick it up for the same price well after Cyber Monday has been and gone. We're trained to spot deals here at Goodto and we always price compare carefully before we publish so you can rely on us to only share genuine deals on this page.
  4. Join newsletters from toy retailers for exclusive savings. And make sure you sign up for ours as we often share toy deals with our subscribers.
  5. Plan where you'll hide toy deliveries. Some retailers send toys in packaging that gives away what’s inside - which can really spoil Christmas for kids - so have your hiding place ready before the courier arrives when you've done your Cyber Monday toy deals shopping!

As well as being Deputy Editor at Goodto, I am mum to three kids aged between 10 and 18 years old, and I've been reviewing and writing about toys and baby gear ever since I was pregnant with my firstborn. From the Christmas I bought all the kids' presents second hand to the year I imposed a strict 'one main toy' rule, I've been shopping for bargains and covering Black Friday and Cyber Monday toy deals for more than a decade. I once successfully stayed up till midnight to bag one of those elusive must-have but impossible-to-find-in-stock games consoles half price for my lads - and I've been trying to tear them away from gaming ever since.

Where are the best Cyber Monday toy deals?

Cyber Monday toy deals can be found pretty much anywhere that you'd normally shop for toys. Most major toy retailers - including Amazon, John Lewis, and Very held huge Cyber Monday toy sales this year.  We're keeping this page updated regularly with the best Cyber Monday toy deals as we find them until it all ends for another year on Monday 27th November.

When is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday takes place every year on the Monday immediately following Black Friday. The exact date changes every year because Black Friday always falls on the day after Thanksgiving - which is celebrated in the USA on the last Thursday of November. This year, therefore, Black Friday took place on Friday 24th November and Cyber Monday will take place on Monday 27th November 2023.

Does Lego UK do Cyber Monday?

Yes, the Lego store offers Cyber Monday toy deals with prices slashed by as much as 40% off selected Lego sets for all ages. Our Lego Cyber Monday deals live blog has all the best Lego deals but note that the sale ends at the Lego store on Cyber Monday so you only have a few hours left to shop.

If you're considering shopping for Playmobil instead, check out our guide to which is best: Lego or Playmobil.

How to find the best Cyber Monday toy deals

This year we ran a live Lego Cyber Monday deals blog, which brought you all the juiciest discounts on the best-selling toy of all time. We've also been hunting high and low for cracking savings on toys we rate, have reviewed, or would recommend, and have been price-checking every single deal before we share it to make sure it’s a genuine deal.

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is an annual shopping event with discounts, both online and in-store, on everything from toys and baby gear to air fryers and perfume. It originated in the USA, with retailers traditionally holding sales to kickstart the holiday shopping season on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Now retailers announce Black Friday deals that last for days - or even weeks - during November, rather than just on the day itself. Take Amazon, for example - they held a Black Friday week this year and it's not over yet!

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is an extra day of sales - usually mostly tech and gadgets - that takes place on the Monday after Black Friday. This year Cyber Monday will fall on Monday, 27th November.
