The most popular kids’ TV show of all time has been revealed
The most popular children’s TV show as chosen by a selection of kids’ TV presenters and experts in children’s TV programmes has been revealed, and it’s an all-time family favourite
A group of children's TV presenters, along with experts in kids' TV programmes, got together and chose what they believe is THE most popular show of all time.
The Radio Times recently announced the winner, as chosen by the likes of Noel Edmonds, Phillip Schofield, Konnie Huq and David Walliams.
All the shows which appeared in the top 20 list actually begun in the 1980s - proving that that was the most popular decade for kids TV.
Since then, children have discovered YouTube, so rather than sitting down to watch a show after school, they spend hours online watching the latest vloggers, including Zoella and Joe Sugg.
Making it into the top five of the list was Tiswas, a Saturday morning kids show which aired cartoons, had anarchic skits and special appearances by popstars, Newsround which still airs today and Grange Hill, the children's drama set in London about kids at a comprehensive school.
Unsurprisingly, the children's TV show that came out on top was Blue Peter - which is soon launching a new BBC Let It Grow podcast and TV initiative.

A kids TV classic which is still popular today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge even recently made a visit to the studio where the show is now filmed in Manchester.
While there, Kate and Prince William were presented with their very own gold Blue Peter badge to take home. A coveted prize for any Blue Peter viewer, children today can apply for their very own Blue Peter badge by simply writing to the show and telling them about something they've created along with photos to illustrate their application and an explanation as to why they deserve a badge.
Alternatively an interesting letter of up to 50 words can earn them one of the badges too.
Once the application is done, it needs to be sent along to the Blue Peter address in Salford and the process will take about eight weeks to receive it.
