The Fresh Prince of Bel Air's Tatyana Ali welcomes baby boy
Congratulations to the first time parents!
Congratulations are in order for Tatyana Ali who has given birth to her first child.
The 37 year old, who is best known for her role as Will Smith’s cousin Ashley Banks in the 90s classic The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, welcomed the new addition to the family on the 16 September.
One of Tatyana’s representatives confirmed the news to E! News saying: ‘Tatyana gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Friday, Sept. 16'.
‘Tatyana is home resting comfortably with her newborn.’
It’s been a busy time for the actress, who also recently married her husband Dr Vaughn Raspberry this July in front of 120 guests at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The actress announced her pregnancy and her engagement at the same time to Entertainment Tonight, explaining that she's had to change her wedding plans to accommodate her growing bump.
'Planning our wedding has been so exciting, but when we found out we were expecting, our perspective shifted completely,' she said

'We want our ceremony to really celebrate our newest blessing! Plus, I have the best wedding planner, Michael Russo [who has also planned weddings for boyband stars such as Kevin Jonas and Joey Fatone]. He's making everything so fun and stress free!'

She also shared the story of how she and her fiancé, Dr. Vaughn Rasberry, met, telling the site 'Vaughn and I met on eHarmony! It was my first time dating online. We wrote letters for months before we decided to Skype. And then, of course, met.'

Vaughn later went down on one knee with a 'perfect' proposal in the Redwoods in Yosemite, California, an area which Tatyana 'absolutely loves'.
'He proposed in the most picturesque clearing. Just the two of us. It was so thoughtful and perfect. We're best friends.'
The pair were predictably showered with congratulations from fans on both their engagement and their pregnancy, to which Tatyana responded 'Thanks so much everyone for all the well wishes!!! Looks like this is going to be a really full year.'
We can't argue with that, but with the new baby, it's going to be such an exciting one too! Congratulations to the new parents!
