Spencer Matthews and Vogue Williams announce their engagement

The Made In Chelsea star popped the question during a very romantic and thoughtful date night in London

Spencer Matthew and Vogue Williams are engaged.

Keen to make sure his bride-to-be had a moment she'll remember for the rest of her life, the former Made In Chelsea star pulled out all the stops when it came to the proposal.

Spencer asked for the model and DJ's hand in marriage after watching a performance of The Lion King in London's West End.

'I've known Vogue was 'The One' for a long time. We're very happy and in love. She's my best friend and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her,' he gushed.

'The engagement had to be special, and as our first trip away together was to Disneyland Paris, it felt like the perfect fit.

'The Lion King is also one of the greatest stories of all time, so I figured that having just had a romantic evening watching it, she'd probably say yes!'

A spokesperson went on to confirm the loved-up duo's plans to become husband and wife, saying: 'The couple are absolutely over the moon and thrilled to share their exciting news.'

Spencer, 28, got down on one knee with a stunning ring boasting a row of glittering diamonds set in a distinctive claw shape.

We're not surprised to see that Vogue took to Instagram to show off her sensational new piece of jewellery.

'❤️💍❤️ @spencermatthews,' she captioned a snap which sees her flashes a huge smile with her rock proudly on display.

Hundreds of fans congratulated the pair by leaving a comment below Vogue's picture, while over 50,000 individuals 'liked' it.

'Amazing,I am so happy for you both, best wishes forever, congratulations. Xx 💍💍💍,' said one.

Spencer and Vogue, 32, met while appearing on The Jump, a Channel 4 show which sees celebrities attempt to master various winter sports.

While Spencer went on to be crowned winner of the fourth series in March 2017, Vogue was sadly forced to quit after a nasty fall during training left her with a badly injured knee.
