Single mum offers bargain room in her £1.5m house to fellow lone parent
This is such an amazing gesture!
A single mother-of-three has attracted praise after offering a double room in her £1.5m home for just £1 a week to a fellow lone parent.
Posting an advert on flat-sharing website spareroom.co.uk, Frances explained that she wanted invite a fellow parent to join her family to create a ‘warm, nurturing, proactive environment’ in which to raise her nine-year-old and four-year-old twins.
The room on offer in London's wealthy Primrose Hill is newly furbished and comes with an en-suite bathroom.
The generous mum also outlines that another room could be made available if the applicant’s child need one of their own.
She writes: 'By sharing a house I’m hoping for company, mutual support and to foster a warm, nurturing, proactive and FUN environment in the house in which to raise our children!
‘Age/nationality/race/sexual orientation doesn’t matter- just the right family with the same values and parenting methods. Please do not insult me or families in need by contacting me if you don’t have children!!’
The expansive home also includes a garden and patio area and is a five to 10 minute walk to Swiss Cottage Tube station.
