'Why is this odd?' Scarlett Moffatt hits back at critics who slammed her for giving sister drag queen-themed gifts

Scarlett Moffatt has hit back at critics who slammed her for giving her 11-year-old sister Ava drag queen-themed gifts for her birthday.
The I'm A Celeb winner took to Instagram to post a snap of her sister surrounded by the presents she got for her birthday, a collection of merchandise from the show RuPaul's Drag Race - a popular American reality TV show which sees 13 drag queens compete to be crowned America's next drag superstar.
Captioning the adorable snap, Scarlett wrote: 'When you surprise your little sister on her 11th birthday with everything drag queen related 😂 including a life size @rupaulofficial !! #birthday #love #sister'
But not everyone was impressed with Scarlett's choice of gifts, with some fans commenting on the post to say the presents were inappropriate for an 11 year old.
One wrote: 'Sorry but why would you expose these kinda ideas to children so young', while another commented: 'So confused why you would do this for an 11year old?'
Scarlett hit back at her critics in the comments section, writing: 'me and my parents watch an ep and fast forward any parts that aren't child friendly!
'Why is this odd? I tell my little sister to be a fruit loop in a bowl full of cheerios! Why be like everyone else when you have family that support you and love you for you no matter what you like or dislike.

'Have you ever been to a pantomime? I'm sorry but I really don't understand why you have such a problem.'
The TV presenter continued to say she's taking her little sister to a RuPaul drag convention in New York, urging people to stay positive and embrace everyone's uniqueness.
'Also I'm taking her to New York to a Rupaul drag convention where these is a CHILD AREA - if it wasn't meant for children why would there be an area specified for them. Let's just all stay positive and embrace the fact everyone's different and unique', she wrote.
While some of Scarlett's 1.4 followers were not happy with the gifts, others commented on the picture to congratulate her on being a 'the best sister ever', and how they too love watching RuPaul's Drag Race.
'Omg your the best sister ever!!! Would love this!!', one said, while another commented 'I wish I had a big sister like you'.
Another wrote: 'My 12 daughter loves Rupaul and has got me and her dad watching it , and so does my sister who is a teacher , It's addictive viewing xxx 🌈😝😘'
A fourth fan commented: 'If people were all the same, this planet would be a boring, monotonous place to live. By people daring to be different, we have art, poetry, plays, TV, light bulbs, electricity, the wheel...'
