Rylan Clark-Neal and husband Dan to make TV history by presenting This Morning together
Which gay couple will be the first to present This Morning?
Former X Factor star Rylan Clark-Neal and his husband Dan are set to make TV history when they become the first gay couple to present ITV's This Morning together.
On Friday 7th July regular presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamon Holmes are away on holiday, so newly-weds Rylan and Dan are set to stand in for them on the two-hour morning TV programme.
Dan has appeared on the show before, stepping in to help his hubby interview Christopher Cramp last year - the first person to have a civil partnership with his partner when the law was passed in 2005.
A source close to the show said: 'Rylan is hugely popular with the This Morning audience and working with Dan again will provide key chemistry a show like this requires with its hosts.'
On working with his other half previously, Rylan, 27, said: 'It was weird. We felt like Ruth and Eamonn. It was really strange.'
The X Factor favourite has become a much-loved addition to the show and often has the other presenters in fits of laughter. He famously stormed off set earlier this year when presenter Ruth Langsford revealed a picture of him when he was younger, which showed a much younger Rylan with ginger hair.
Rylan met his husband Dan, a former police officer, after he appeared in the 14th series of Big Brother in 2013. They got engaged in September 2014 and tied the knot last November, with celebrities such as Katie Price and Emma Willis attending the wedding.

The couple first got together when Rylan interviewed him on Big Brother's Bit on the Side, but managed to keep their relationship relatively out of the limelight until they got engaged.
Dan, a dad of one, has become a bit of a sex symbol since he left the house, posing for Gay Times magazine in December 2013.
Rylan, who starred in ITV's The X Factor in 2012, also presented his own show on Channel 5 earlier this year - Up Late with Rylan, full of celebrity interviews and gossip.
We can't wait to see Rylan and Dan present the show in July - good luck to them!
