Rochelle Humes 'breaks fans' hearts' with picture of daughter Alaia-Mai's straightened hair

'I can't get over how grown up it makes her look'

Rochelle Humes has 'broken' fans' hearts' with a picture of daughter Alaia-Mai with straightened, blow-dried hair.

The Saturdays star, who is currently pregnant with her second child, shared the snap of the back of her three-year-old daughter's head, writing: 'After months on end of my little one begging me to blow dry her hair, I caved this weekend 💁🏽'

'I can't get over how grown up it makes her look 👀 She couldn't stop looking at herself in any reflective service 😂 She said that she loves it and now has hair like her friends at school. So cute 💔'

However, Rochelle was quick to stress that the blow dry was short-lived, and that she loved her daughter's natural hair: 'After her bath tonight her curls are back,' she told her followers. 'She was devastated but, Mummy and Daddy are relieved #lovehercurls 💝'

The family were quickly inundated with supportive comments from fans who encouraged Rochelle and Alaia-Mai to embrace the little one's curly locks.

'Hair like her friends' awh that broke my heart!' one wrote, whilst another added: 'Pls educate her to embrace her curls... They are beautiful she will love them when she is older ❤️'

'Awwwww they always want what they don't have! My daughter had curls when she was a toddler and now it's just wavy she wants her curls back lol your daughter is so lucky as she can have it both ways 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼,' a third agreed.

'Let her know her beautiful, versatile Afro hair is gorgeous like mummy's when it's natural,' one advised. 'She doesn't have to have hair like her friends because she is special and perfect as she is x'

Another mum said she'd gone through the same experience with her own child, writing: 'I do the same for my daughter to show her how versatile her hair is with curls or straight. When I see other girls with curly hair I tell her how beautiful they look and she's started to take it on board.'
