Strictly star Rachel Riley reveals kids are 'currently not on my radar'

Rachel Riley, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, has admitted that despite the fact that all of her friends are currently expecting, she’s not ready for kids just yet

Rachel Riley, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, has admitted that she's not ready for kids just yet with her boyfriend Pasha

The 32-year-old Countdown presenter explained to the Mail on Sunday Event magazine, 'All my friends are getting pregnant at the moment.'

'That's good for them, but it's currently not on my radar.'

With a flourishing career, that has seen her appear on over 2,000 episodes of Countdown, plus its comedy spin off 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, as well as take part in Strictly Come Dancing, it's no wonder that the idea of kids is currently on the back burner.

Rachel is in a relationship with her Russian former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancing partner, Pasha Kovalev, 37, who she met on the show when she competed in the 2013 series.

The pair stayed in touch after the Strictly series ended, and eventually a romance blossomed.

Since the show, Rachel has kept her relationship pretty private, only revealing a couple of very small details on a celebrity special of Countdown last October, mentioning Pasha's habit of saving coins, and that they both enjoy watching House of Cards.

She was previously married to her Oxford University boyfriend Jamie Gilbert, who she had been with for nearly a decade, but after only 16-months the pair decided to divorce and go their separate ways.

Talking to the Express last summer, Rachel revealed she is still friends with her ex-husband and she may never get married to her Strictly boyfriend Pasha, because with a second marriage, comes new pressure.

'I was with my ex-husband for eight or nine years and we became good friends. I met him at university and our relationship ended. We are still good friends.

'I am in love now [with Pasha]. I don't feel I have to get married.

'I don't think I need that pressure any more. And I am perfectly happy.

'That really doesn't bother me in the long term. I feel settled' she concluded.
