Why Prince Louis won't be at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding

Prince Louis will not attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, Kensington Palace has confirmed.

The latest addition to the Royal Family, Prince Louis, will not be attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding with his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on 19 May at Windsor Castle.

At less than one month old when the time comes for Harry and Meghan to say ‘I do’, it has been decided that Prince Louis will be too little to attend the big day.

Although Prince Louis won't be in attendance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, his older siblings Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, three, will be there and are set to get very important roles in the big day.

In addition, both his parents will be 'busy' and in attendance, as Prince William is Best Man for Prince Harry and Kate will be very much on-hand to keep her eldest two in check throughout the ceremony.

It’s believed young Louis will be left at home with either the children’s nanny Maria Borrallo or maybe even granny Carole Middleton.

Royal Correspondent for Hello! magazine Emily Nash observed, ‘William and Kate will both be busy on the wedding day, as he carries out his best man duties and she oversees George and Charlotte’s involvement in the ceremony’.

‘I would expect nanny Maria Borrallo or Carole Middleton to be on hand to look after Prince Louis while they are in St George’s Chapel.

‘But as he will be less than a month old, I’m sure Kate will want him nearby, even if we don’t see him at the service.’

While there will be a Louis shaped hole at the celebration, the rest of the royal family is expected to be present.

Even 98-year-old Prince Philip, who recently underwent a hip operation, will be there, according to a Palace source who said; ‘We very much hope [he will be there]’.

Royal fans who might be disappointed not to see the newest member of the Cambridge family at the wedding won't have to wait long for their next glimpse of the Prince.He could next be seen in public at Trooping the Colour in June, or maybe at his christening in a few months time.
