Peter Andre bans his children Junior and Princess from social media over bullying fears

Peter Andre has revealed that he has banned his children Junior and Princess from using social media, after his own experiences of bullying as a child left him fearful for his kids.

The Mysterious Girl singer, who is now 44, confessed that after being bullied himself as a child, he has banned Junior, 12, and Princess 10, from social media to protect them.

Peter’s stance on social media for his kids comes a year after their mum Katie Price caused controversy when she revealed her decision to allow the two children to join Instagram.

The youngsters have since been taken off the social media platform, much to dad Peter’s relief, as despite their parent’s opposing views, the children are still too young to have an account according to Instagram's guidelines.

'I don't let Princess or Junior go on social media or things like that yet. I am very strict, I don't allow it in the house at all,' Peter said recently to The Mirror.

'I worry about cyber bullying – all these things kids are going through, worrying about what they look like, worrying about what someone is saying about them.'

Recalling his own experiences of bullying as a child, Peter admitted that he didn't feel it was something he could talk to his parents about at the time even though he was physically beaten and bullied by other children.

'The bullying I went through wasn't like someone calling you names. I was beaten up pretty bad. I couldn't talk to my parents about my bullying because I never had that kind of relationship and I didn't want to worry them.'

Peter's fears about his children on social media are shared by his wife Emily, who doesn't like over-sharing pictures of their young children on his accounts.

Amelia, three, and Theo, who is almost one, rarely feature in Peter's posts as a result.

'I got in trouble with the missus for posting a video of Mills and Theo and I chilling out on the sofa on social media last week,' the father of four revealed earlier this year.

'Even though it was a quick vid, I was in the doghouse for a bit because Ems isn't so keen on him and Amelia being on social media.'
