Peaches 'likely' to have been killed by heroin use
After the tragic news that Peaches Geldof was found dead at aged 25, the toxicology reports suggest drugs played a part
Mum of two, Peaches Geldof, was found dead at her home in Kent on Monday 7th April at the young age of 25.
Police initially said they were treating the death as 'unexplained and sudden', but not suspicious.
Results of the post-mortem carried out on Wednesday 9th April were inconclusive and could not determine the cause of death. Further toxicology reports found heroin in her blood stream which suggested recent use, to levels which were 'likely' to have played a part in her death.
Confirming the news of his daughter's death, father Bob Geldof of Live Aid fame said: 'We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.'
'What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?'
Peaches leaves behind her husband Tom Cohen and two young sons, Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, 11 months.
In a statement, Tom said of his wife: 'My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons,'.

Fans of Peaches knew her as a dedicated mum of two, outspoken in her views on Attachment Parenting. Since the birth of her first son in 2012, who she lovingly referred to as 'Narny', Peaches had thrown herself into motherhood - even taking on Katie Hopkins in a battle on This Morning about their differing parenting styles.
Peaches tragically lost her own mum Paula Yates to a drug overdose in 2000 when she was just 11 years old and one of the last Instagram posts Peaches shared with her many followers was a photo of her and her mum together.
Tragic: Peaches' last Tweet was a photo of her in her mother's arms
Shocked celebrity friends of the young mum were quick to their condolences over Twitter.
Lily Allen said: 'My thoughts are with the Geldof’s at this awful time. I hope they get to grieve in peace. Peaches, rest in peace gorgeous girl.’
Singer, Ellie Goulding shared Lily's sentiments by tweeting: 'I don’t believe it. Even if you think you've got it all figured out, some things still can't be explained or understood. Two beautiful children. RIP Peaches.'
Holly Willoughby, who got to know Peaches when she appeared on This Morning also shared this message: 'Just heard about Peaches, so unbelievably tragic. So shocked and sad. Sending my thoughts and love to her family.'
Our hearts truly go out to her family and her young sons at this difficult time as they come to terms with this devastating news. Too young.
