Dad's request for celebrity birthday wishes for his bullied son gets the most INCREDIBLE response

You won't believe how many stars replied...

A father's plea for birthday wishes for his son has gone viral on Twitter, with an incredible number of famous faces sending messages.

Dad Christopher took to the social network to ask if anyone who knew a star could ask them to send a tweet in honour of his son Ollie's 9th birthday, to cheer him after a difficult experience with a bully.

'Strange request. Anyone know anyone famous/well known who could send Ollie a positive/9th birthday message,' he explained.

'The bully keeps saying to him that everything O has, he has bigger/better/more often. O excited for his birthday but keeps being told it won't be as good as his own

I would be so grateful and I appreciate it is an odd request. Just would love someone to tell him he does mean something & bullying is not ok, ever.'

Since he sent the request on 29th June, celebrities from Dawn French to Zoella to Russell Crowe have been in touch to say happy birthday to Ollie, and assure him that bullies never win in the end.

The family have also had many offers of amazing gifts and experiences, from flights to Paris to tickets to football games, and been sent thousands of further messages from people around the world who aren't household names, but simply wish to brighten Ollie's day even more.

After seeing the amazing number of tweets that had been sent to her son, Ollie's mum sent a message of thanks to everyone who had taken the time to get in touch.

'Hi, I'm Ollie's mum (married to Chris). I don't 'tweet' and always go on at him for spending too much time on Twitter!! However, this time I am completely overwhelmed by everyones kind thoughts,' she wrote.

'You do not know what this means to me and will to Ollie when we show him. I have been battling with this matter for over a year and am only just now being listened to. It is heartbreaking listening to an 8 year old think that he is worthless and 'shouldn't be here'.'

'I know that we are definately not the only ones in the world to be going through this but I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart 'Thank You' so much. You really don't know what this means.'
