Mum has GENIUS response after being told to cover up while breastfeeding her baby
So funny!
A mum has been praised on social media after a friend shared how she hilariously responded to someone telling her she should cover up while breastfeeding.
Carol Lockwood, from Hawaii in the US, shared the image of her friend's daughter-in-law on Facebook, which shows the woman covering her head with a baby blanket, instead of covering her breast - genius!
Carol wrote alongside the picture: 'A friend’s daughter-in-law was told to “cover up” while feeding her baby, so she did!🤣 I’ve never met her, but I think she’s AWESOME!!! (Please share! With permission, I’ve made this post public — I’m SO over people shaming women for nursing!!!❤️👶❤️

'[PS: To reduce speculation: it was a man who asked her to cover up, it was 90 degrees and extremely humid, and, no, she wasn’t in a Muslim country disrespecting traditions.🙄]'.
The funny reaction garnered a lot of praise from other people on social media, who commented on the post to praise the mum and to confess they still find it shocking that breastfeeding mums are still being asked to cover up in public spaces.
One said: 'Fantastic, I work for maternity and help new mums with breast feeding everyday and hear lots of stories but this is one of the best stories I have heard in a long time. Good one, some people are so arrogant she was probably doing it very discreetly as most new mums do but to cover your baby with yet another layer of material in that heat would just have been too much. You're a legend.'

Another wrote: 'Absurd! Breastfeeding is a natural, loving and loving gesture! How can there be people so intolerable yet! 😔😕'.
A third also commented: 'Omg this so shocking 😪😡feeding a baby is natural not sure why we have to hide our face , and for those who are not happy they don’t have to watch , this is unbelievable'.
