Mum blogger defends her decision to tell off other people’s naughty kids
‘And if you see my kid be a jerk, you tell him off too’
A mum blogger has spoken out about her decision to tell off a stranger's kids at an indoor ball play centre.
Laura Maza, blogger on Mum On The Run, admitted she has never told off a stranger's kids before, but was spurred into action when two kids picked on her toddler son.
The Australian mum-of-two was shocked to see her son 'pushed and smacked' and couldn't help herself, so she snapped and said: 'That's not nice, stop!'
Taking to Facebook, the 31-year-old explained in her post: I've never told another child off in my life.
'I don't like to. It's not my responsibility… If my son snatches, I correct him, if my daughter smacks, I correct her, if my kids are a**holes, I step in. This behaviour is not okay at any age.'

She explained that she had told off two kids that weren't hers because 'no one was was gonna do it.'

'I watched two five-year-olds ram one of those mini drivable cars into my daughter and laugh while she fell over while I was helping my son into the ball pit', she wrote.
She went on to describe watching two kids push and smack her son while he was trying to go down a slide and had to tell them to stop it.
'I've never liked to tell a strangers kid off, but if you're gonna pretend you can't see it because you wanna sit and chat, then I'm gonna tell your child off.'
Laura added: 'I'm not perfect, not even in the slightest. But I'm polite and I'm not in the business of raising a**holes… I also don't believe that my kid is entitled to pull your kids hair because I want a hot coffee.'
'And if you see my kid be a jerk, you tell him off too, or tell me and I'll correct him asap.'
She goes on to implore other mums that ‘ if we don't have each others backs like this, then how can it be a smooth experience for all?’
The post, shared on Laura's Facebook page, has racked up more than 4k likes, 450 shares and 370 comments in just two days - as well as a lot of praise.
One user posted: ‘Once again I find myself wanting to give you a standing ovation. Well said.’
This follower praised her by asking to be friends: 'Can we be friends? I love having friends like you. Lol'
A third wrote: 'Nothing annoys me more then lazy parents', while another said: 'Amen amen and Amen!!! I correct children at the playground all the time and loud enough that their parents hear me.'
