Mila Kunis reveals why she and Ashton Kutcher are saying 'no' to Christmas presents for their kids this year

Famous Hollywood duo Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher won't start their Christmas morning with the sound of ripping wrapping paper this year, as Mila has revealed that the couple have agreed not to give their children any Christmas presents.

Parents Ashton and Mila have two children together, a daughter called Wyatt, who is three, and a one-year-old son called Dimitri.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight, mum-of-two Mila explained that for their young children, whether they have presents or not on Christmas Day 'doesn't really matter'. What is more important to the 'socially conscious' parents, is that their children appreciate what they have, and are grateful to receive a gift if and when they get one.

'We're instituting [no presents] this year because when the kids are [younger than] one, it doesn't really matter,' Mila explained.

'Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two, and it was too much. We didn't give her anything — it was the grandparents. The kid no longer appreciates the one gift. They don't even know what they're expecting; they're just expecting stuff.'

This year, however, Mila and Ashton are determined for things to be different.

'We've told our parents, "We're begging you - if you have to give her something, pick one gift. Otherwise, we'd like to take a charitable donation to the children's hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want,' Mila revealed.

While Mila and Ashton's decision won't necessarily win praise from all presents, many have congratulated the couple on taking a strong stance towards raising unspoiled, grounded children.

And, Mila also revealed that although they might be deviating from tradition when it comes to presents, they are making their, 'own little versions of tradition' for Christmas Day.
