Glee's Matthew Morrison reveals he's welcomed his first child with wife Renee Puente

Glee star Matthew Morrison has announced on social media that he's welcomed his first child with wife Renee Puente.

The actor, who's famous for his role as Will Schuester in the hit series Glee, took to Instagram to reveal he's become a dad for the first time.

The 38-year-old posted a cute snap to share the lovely news, where he's seen fist bumping his tiny newborn's hand.

In the post, the new dad revealed he's welcomed a baby boy with his wife Renee, and also unveiled the baby name he picked for his little one - Revel James Makai Morrison.

Captioning the sweet snap, he wrote: 'To my Newborn Child, Revel James Makai Morrison: Your Mama and Papa got this!! Trust in us to guide and protect you always. To lay the tracks so your choo choo train will run smoothly throughout this world🚂. You will have all the tools to soar! We love you, and are so thankful for your arrival! The adventures are just beginning...'

His wife Renee, who's also an actor, took to Instagram too to share her lovely news, with another adorable picture of her newborn baby.

She wrote: 'I'm in Revel Heaven... my heaven on earth... to give you life, to hold you in my arms, to comfort you, to feed you from my body.. I can’t begin to express my immeasurable gratitude for being the one you chose as your Mama! My Revel James Makai Morrison, I promise to cherish you, to constantly remind you that you are worthy of love and belonging, to teach you compassion and kindness.

'I will respect you and go through every moment with understanding and patience.. I promise to love you unconditionally for ever and ever my little angel baby.. my squeaks.. my moon 🌙 I see so much of your Papa in you already.. I feel the calm I once felt inside of me.. The pair tied the knot in 2014, and announced they were expecting their first child in May this year.

Announcing the news on Instagram, the pair posted a video compilation of their special moments between him and his wife, in which they could also be seen holding Renee newly pregnant tummy.

At the time, Matthew wrote: 'We will have a new addition to the family and I'm blown away by the unconditional love that I already possess for this child.'
