Liam Payne admits he'll have to 'miss out' on milestones in son's life due to career
Popstar Liam became a father for the first time last year
Juggling fatherhood with a glittering career in the spotlight has some downsides for Liam Payne.
The Strip That Down singer, who welcomed son Bear with girlfriend Cheryl last year, has revealed that his family often has to take a backseat as he grafts to build a future for them.
Liam - who found fame as a member of X Factor boy band One Direction in 2010 - also acknowledged that this decision to focus on music means he may be absent from important occasions in his little boy’s life.
‘You realise that you are not working hard to improve things just for yourself, but for them as well,’ Liam told The National.
‘I realise I can build something for him to have, as long as I work as hard as I can right this second. So I’ve got to hit the ground running.’
‘Unfortunately, it’s a risk that I will miss out on certain things,’ he continued. ‘I am aware of that, but it’s important for me that I carry on and make this right for him.’
Despite the pitfalls of having to be away from his loved-ones on a regular basis, it's evident that Liam clearly adores being a dad.
