Katie Waissel splits from her boyfriend two months after giving birth

The former X Factor star Katie Waissel, 32, has revealed she’s a ‘solo mama’ as she and her boyfriend Andy Speer have broken up.

The first time mum – who gave birth to her baby boy, Hudson, this July – posted a video on Instagram in which she celebrated a milestone in parenthood at the same time as revealing that she’s now single.

She wrote: 'Tonight has been MOMUMENTAL (yes I meant to spell it like that!) having posted about my journey right the way through pregnancy and parenthood, as you have seen, the exhaustion both mentally and physically has been intense!

'Tonight was the first night that I put Mr Hudson effortlessly to bed, after a warm bath and two boob feed.

‘For the first time in MONTHS, I am sat on my couch in my living room alone watching my favourite TV show and sipping a glass of well-deserved wine!’

Katie, who found love with Andy last summer after splitting from her second husband Brian Moote in December 2016, then added: ‘Having embarked on the new adventure called parenthood alone as a solo mama, there were times I thought that I wasn’t going to make it, but moments like these, small but powerful breakthrough moments, just go to show that it can be done!’

Back in July, following Hudson’s birth, Katie revealed on Instagram that she’d endured an epic 24 hour labour. She wrote: ’Born at 2.25am on 07.21.18, our Little Man made his big debut after a legendary 24 labour. Mummy and Baby are doing great, Daddy is already on diaper duty!’

However, the relationship has since taken a nosedive with Katie now a single parent. Adding to her most recent Instagram post, she wrote: 'I can honestly in this moment say that I am beyond grateful and not going to lie, incredibly proud of myself! So cheers everyone! Happy Hump Day! WE GOT THIS!’
