Katherine Jenkins announces she's expecting her second child with husband Andrew Levitas

Katherine Jenkins has announced that she's expecting her second child with husband Andrew Levitas on social media.

The mum-of-one took to Instagram to share the lovely baby news with fans, with a cute snap of her two-year-old daughter Aaliyah.

In the adorable post, where she also wrote 'Sidekick coming soon', the singer also revealed the gender of the baby she's expecting, saying that she will be welcoming a baby boy this time around.

Writing in the caption, she said: 'Andrew and I are overjoyed that our family will be growing in 2018 with the addition of our second child - a baby brother for our little superhero Aaliyah!!!'

Fans were quick to congratulate the classical singer, commenting on the post to send her their best wishes.

One said: 'Aww that's a wonderful news! ❤️❤️ Congratulations to you both! x', while another wrote 'OMG😍😍😍congratulations'.

The sweet announcement comes shortly after Katherine told Hello! magazine that she would love to have a second child.

'It's all about timing, but I would really love to have a second child and for Aaliyah to have a sibling, to have a friend in the world.

'My husband and I love being parents and Aaliyah makes us so happy. She's fun, kind and affectionate - and a mummy's girl', she said.

Katherine and painter Andrew tied the knot in September 2014, after dating for about a year. The pair revealed they were an item in 2013, and became engaged just after six months of being together.

It's not the first time the Welsh singer has taken to social media to announce exciting news. She also shared the news of her first pregnancy with fans on Instagram and Twitter, with an adorable picture of a pair of baby ballet shoes that she posted in April 2015.

The 37-year-old gave birth to Aaliyah four months later, almost exactly a year her wedding.
