Kate Middleton and Prince William's potential name for the third royal baby was just picked by Princess Madeleine of Sweden for her new arrival
Will Kate and Wills end up picking one of the bookies' favourites?
Kate Middleton and Prince William aren't the only royals who might like the name Alice for their new baby - as Princess Madeleine of Sweden just picked it as one of the names for her new arrival.
Ever since Kate and Wills announced they were expecting their third baby last year, bookies have been weighing up the moniker they'll pick.
However, the royal baby name Kate Middleton and Prince William are thought to be considering for their third child may just have been thrown into contention after the Swedish royal couple picked one of the bookies' favourite for their newborn daughter.
King Carl XVI Gustaf yesterday revealed that Princess Madeline of Sweden has snapped up one of the key British royal baby name contenders for her baby girl with husband Chris O'Neill.
Madeline and Chris welcomed their bundle of joy just a few days ago and shared an adorable photo of the child with her older siblings Princess Leonore, 4, and Prince Nicolas, 2, on Instagram.
'Leonore and Nicolas welcoming their little sister home,' the shot was sweetly captioned.

[/instagram] King Carl XVI Gustaf announced his granddaughter has been called Princess Adrienne Josephine Alice.
Adrienne is said to be a name the married Swedish couple loved, and there are historically a number of females called Josephine in the family. Alice is believed to have been picked as a tribute to the baby's maternal grandmother.
While the name Mary is currently the bookies' favourite for Kate Middleton and Prince William's third child, should it be a baby girl, according to site OddsChecker, Alice is a close second for the British royal couple. If the duo welcome a boy next month, Fredrick is being touted as the most likely choice. It was also reported that the name Harry was also in the running recently.
It won't be long until we do find out what Kate and Wills decide to call their new arrival - and if they too choose the name Alice should they welcome a new Princess into the family - as the Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth in April. Kate is rumoured to be working towards St.George's Day as a due date for the new royal baby.
With the 36-year-old rapidly reaching the end of her pregnancy, Kate is well and truly blossoming. But not ready to put her feet up just yet, Kate showed off her baby bump in a smart blue coat while attending a service with the rest of the royal family to mark Commonwealth Day in London.
After seeing photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William arriving at Westminster Abbey for the occasion, fans rushed to compliment the expectant mum.
'Ohhhhh Kate is glowing,' gushed one admirer. Another added: 'Look at Kate's baby belly!! She is gorgeous!!'
