Kate Hudson gives birth to a baby girl – and she has the sweetest name!

Kate Hudson has welcomed her first child with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.
Taking to Instagram the actress announced that she had given birth to a baby girl, giving her the unusual name of Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.
In a two-slide post the Almost Famous star revealed that Rani was born on October 2nd, wrote her new bundle of joy’s full name and included the simple words: ‘She’s here’.
Revealing why the couple chose the unique moniker the post continued:
‘We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.’
Fans were quick to react to the news, with the post attracting more than 650,000 likes as well as scores of comments.
One wrote: ‘Huge congratulations! I love the name, really beautiful just as I’m sure she is too, enjoy this precious time as a family.’

Another added: ‘My daughter is born on October 2nd as well congratulations on such a special blessing.’
While a third said: ‘@katehudson Congrats on the birth of your baby girl. I LOVE her name! My niece has the same name only her’s is spelled Rahni. She was named after my dad who spells his name Ronnie.’
Kate has been chronicling her pregnancy on Instagram, sharing snaps of her growing baby bump with her 9 million followers.
A post dated August 14th revealed that she had, had pregnancy cravings for fruit and showed the Hollywood starlet in bed snacking on what looks like a bowl of chopped watermelon.
In another recent black and white pic the Fabletics founder is bump-to-bump with her friend Angi Fletcher alongside an ornament inscribed with the word ‘love’.
This is star’s third child. She shares 14-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, and Bingham, seven, with former fiancé and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.
