I’m A Celeb star Joel Dommett reveals he is engaged to partner Hannah Cooper

Joel Dommett and his model girlfriend Hannah Cooper have just announced their engagement in the funniest way...

Joel Dommett, the comedian and actor who found new fame after he competed in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here last year, has revealed that he is engaged.

The star, who presented the I'm A Celeb Extra Camp this year along with fellow former jungle camp mate Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash, popped the question to his partner Hannah over the Christmas holidays.

Taking to their respective Instagram accounts, Joel and Hannah both shared the same funny video as a way of announcing their happy news. In the video, a toilet door lock can be seen being twisted from 'vacant' to 'engaged'. In the caption to accompany the video, the couple merely tagged each other, allowing the short clip to tell their fans everything they needed to know.

'Congratulations @joeldommett so happy for you and your beautiful fiancée' one fan commented on the star's video. Another of Joel's followers added,'Award for most inventive engagement announcement goes to you Joel.'

'Best way of announcing an engagement ever? Quite possibly. CONGRATULATIONS!' agreed another fan.

'Congrats you guyyys! And it all started with sliding in the DMs!' commented another of the couple's followers.

Joel and his partner, professional model Hannah Cooper, met online via Instagram last year after Joel's appearance on I'm A Celeb.

Describing the unusual way that Hannah first got in touch with him, Joel confessed on Loose Women earlier this year that they decided to meet up after the model sent him an emoji via Instagram.

'We met on Instagram. She sent me a cat emoji with the heart eyes’ Joel revealed. 'That is the modern equivalent of the old phrase 'you had me at hello', now it's 'you had me at cat emoji'.'

Describing their relationship back then Joel said, 'It's so wonderful, we are so happy. She's very beautiful, I'm a very lucky lad.'

Fast forward to May 2023 and Joel Dommett announced Hannah Cooper is pregnant with the couple's first child. Congratulations!
