Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek expecting baby number five
James and Kimberly already have four young children with the eldest aged seven and the youngest 23-months-old
James Van Der Beek has announced the happy news that he and his wife will be welcoming their fifth child together.
The actor, best known for his role as Dawson Leery in popular 90s TV show Dawson's Creek, is already dad to four kids all under the age of seven. James and wife Kimberly are proud parents to Olivia, seven, Joshua, five, Annabel, four and 23-month-year-old Emilia.
The couple announced the happy news of their impending arrival with an adorable bump reveal on Instagram.
The caption read: 'Thrilled beyond belief to announce that we are once again adding to our family 😍
'And I say 'beyond belief' because some people are probably wondering if we're out of our minds.
'Which we might very well be... but I couldn't be more excited. Or grateful. Or in awe of @vanderkimberly.'
He also shared a light-humoured post showing him helping Kimberly put her shoes on.

James wrote: 'Of the six people currently living in our house... the number who can reliably put their own shoes on by themselves is now down to three. #pregnancy 😊 (And 🏆 to @vanderkimberly for being the one who sits the most still while I do it ).'
James and Kimberly have been married since 2010. They tied the knot in Tel Aviv, Israel which is thought to be where the couple first met. Since starting a family together, proud dad James can't help but constantly post pictures of his young family.
In an interview with People magazine the actor said that as soon as his first born Olivia arrived, his family became his priority.
He said: 'The second I had kids, they immediately became my priority and everything I did existed to support the life that was all about them in a good way. What's been fun about the work that I've been doing is that it's so playful and kids bring out that playful side of you, so I think that's gone hand-on-hand.'
