Hollyoaks actress Ali Bastian reveals she's engaged to David O'Mahony
Actress Ali Bastian has revealed that she is engaged to the boyfriend of 18-months David O'Mahony.
Ali Bastian is engaged to her stage actor boyfriend David O'Mahony and the couple are planning three events to celebrate!
Ali, best-known for her role in Channel 4's soap Hollyoaks, has opened up about her busy wedding planning schedule.
In fact, the couple want to have three separate celebrations for their big day, including a beautiful blessing ceremony in Bali!
Ali and David have been together for 18 months and David knew he wanted to pop the question as soon as possible. He had considered asking Ali to marry him during a picture perfect holiday in Bali but instead decided to spontaneously ask her when he returned from a musical.
The couple have spoken to OK! Magazine about their engagement with David revealing: 'I was 99.99 per cent sure that she’d say yes, but there was still a scary/exciting feeling.'
David added: 'Moments after I proposed to Ali I felt this huge amount of relief that I didn’t have to keep the secret any more!'
David also revealed that his crush on Ali went way back and that he had her poster on his wall back at university. He said: 'I had Ali’s poster on my wall at uni! I wish I could go back to my 19-year-old self and say: "It’ll be great, don’t worry!"'

She said: 'Even though we’d discussed marriage, it took me completely by surprise. I still think, has this really happened?'
Ali and David were on holiday in Bali last month
Speaking about the details of their big day, Ali added: 'We’re planning three celebrations. We want to get married in London followed by a cocktail party and then a blessing in Bali'.
Gushing about her husband-to-be Ali said: 'I love David’s kindness – he is so kind and thoughtful, to a point where sometimes I’m like, how could I ever be so thoughtful? He makes me want to hold up my side of the deal every day.'
Congratulations to Ali and David!
