Tom Hardy has made a triumphant return to CBeebies and fans are very excited...

If you’re a parent of young children, you’ll be very familiar with BBC channel CBeebies. Maybe a bit too familiar if they find themselves watching it all day long!

But the best thing about CBeebies returned to our screens, and that is actor Tom Hardy reading bedtime stories. The channel had decided to air one of his post popular sessions to celebrate his 42nd birthday.

Taking to Twitter, the official CBeebies Grown-Ups account shared a video of Tom reading bedtime story There’s a Bear on My Chair by Ross Collins.

Their caption read: 'Celebrate Tom Hardy's birthday by watching... Tom Hardy! Available now on @BBCiPlayer'.

Another asked if Tom’s Peaky Blinders co-star Cillian Murphy could come along to record a story: 'I think we need to see Cillian Murphy reading a story! 😳😊'

Tom Hardy has recorded five bedtime stories for the popular kids TV channel, which the network have confirmed via Twitter account CBeebies Grown-Ups.

These are repeated on the channel from time to time, as one fan noticed that he had his late dog Woody with him in this clip.

It’s not known if he’ll record any more episodes, but we’re sure parents everywhere wouldn’t mind if he did!
